BALANCED NUTRITION
FUELS PERFORMANCE

Your horse gives you everything every time they step into the show pen. My job is to make sure their nutrition supports the work that you are asking them to do.

From training and muscle development to recovery and consistent performance, a balance diet built around your horse's individual needs helps support them throughout the entire show season.

Performance horses place tremendous demands on their bodies. Between training, travel, competition and recovery, their nutritional needs extend well beyond basic maintenance.

When a diet isn't properly balanced for the workload, nutritional deficiencies and imbalances can develop, sometimes without obvious warning signs.

INADEQUATE NUTRITION CAN AFFECT:

›  Body condition and muscle development
›  Recovery between training sessions and competitions
›  Stamina and sustained performance
›  Hoof quality and integrity
›  Hydration and electrolyte balance

These changes aren't always immediate or obvious. That's why evaluating the entire diet, starting with forage, is so important.

the BCS 5.0 process

Every balanced diet starts with forage.

I test your hay, evaluate your horse’s complete diet, and build a balanced feeding program based on forage, workload, body condition, discipline, and performance goals.

Balancing a diet doesn't necessarily mean replacing everything you’re already feeding.

Whenever possible, I work with the feeds and supplements you already use, including sponsor-supported products. As an independent equine nutritionist, I don’t sell feed or supplements and I don’t receive commissions on my recommendations.

Every recommendation is based solely on what your horse needs.

Performance nutrition is an ongoing process.

 Hay changes. Workloads change.
Show schedules change.
Nutritional needs change.
