I partner with professional barns, trainers, and breeding programs to make sure every horse in your program has a balanced, forage-based diet built around their individual needs. Instead of guessing or feeding every horse the same diet you have a nutritionist overseeing the bigger picture.
We start by evaluating the foundation of your feeding program: your forage. From there, each horse is evaluated individually, including body condition, body weight, current diet, workload, health considerations, and performance or breeding goals. Each horse receives an individualized nutrition plan while keeping the entire barn program practical to feed and manage. As horses, hay, workloads, and goals change, we continue to monitor and adjust the program throughout the six-month partnership.
how it works
Why add a nutritionist to your team
Horses may share the same barn and the same hay, but they don't necessarily share the same nutritional needs. Age, workload, metabolism, body condition, health history, and breeding status can all change what an individual horse requires.
Nutrition can be part Of the bigger picture
Nutrition isn't a replacement for veterinary care, but diet imbalances can an be important piece of the puzzle. This may include horses dealing with inflammation, insulin resistance, reproductive challenges, muscle disorders, dehydration, or difficulty maintaining condition.
Your entire barn benefits from testing the foundation
When multiple horses are eating the same forage, one nutritional gap can affect the entire program. Testing your hay gives us real data to work from instead of making assumptions about what each horse is receiving from the diet.
Completely independent
I don't represent any feed or supplement company, and I earn nothing on what I recommend. Whenever possible, I work with the products you already use and trust.
One feeding program doesn't fit every horse
Nutrition is all I do
I work alongside your trainer, veterinarian, farrier, and other professionals with one specific role: making sure the nutrition program supports the horses and the goals you've built your program around.
work with me
I take on a limited number of professional barns and breeding programs so I can provide individualized attention to both the horses and the people responsible for feeding them every day. Whether you're managing lesson horses, breeding stock, young horses, or a combination, I'll help you build a nutrition program that's balanced, practical, and able to evolve with your barn.
